Probase Curriculum Refinement Symposium

Project Probase, an Illinois State University/National Science Foundation project, seeks experienced professionals to assist in evaluating and enhancing standards-based, engineering-related curriculum materials for upper high school technology education courses. Specifically, we are recruiting professionals with backgrounds in engineering, mathematics, or the physical sciences, as well as teachers with backgrounds in technology or engineering education to integrate additional engineering concepts and design applications into the existing Probase curriculum. Selected individuals will review, edit, and revise materials, brainstorm and develop activities and augment learning units with mathematics, science, and engineering concepts. The Symposium will be held between June 27th and July 1st 2005 on the Illinois State University campus in Normal, Illinois. Selected individuals will receive a $1,200.00 stipend, a round trip ticket or mileage for one round trip to campus from your home. Probase Professional Development Symposium

Project Probase, an Illinois State University/National Science Foundation project, seeks experienced professionals to develop a Probase Implementation Manual. Specifically, we are seeking to recruit experienced professional development providers, state and regional district supervisors, teacher educators, etc. to develop a manual that will enable instructors to implement and teach the Probase curriculum. The manual will be composed of tips, techniques, sample activities, and technical support for using Probase materials and serve as a guide to in-service teachers. The Professional Development Symposium will be held between June 27th and July 1st 2005 on the Illinois State University campus in Normal, Illinois. Selected, individuals will receive a $1,200.00 stipend, a round trip ticket or mileage for one round trip to campus from your home.
